Nestled at the base of the charming village of Ceri, a locale steeped in historical and scenic allure, the Onorati family estate has been a pillar of Italian viticulture and olive growing since its inception in 1952. Initially, the estate's focus was on crafting modest batches of wine primarily for family consumption.
By the 1970s, the vineyard space expanded from 2 to 6 hectares, incorporating the pergola system which enabled the production of esteemed DOC wines.
The transformative year of 1992 marked a significant shift with Giancarlo and Filippo Onorati at the helm, propelling the family business into a new era. Their commitment to excellence led to the construction of a state-of-the-art winery, complete with cutting-edge bottling facilities. Transitioning from traditional to modern cultivation techniques, the vineyards were updated to trellised systems and introduced a variety of new grape types. This evolution broadened their portfolio to include acclaimed red wines such as Cesanese, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, alongside distinguished whites like Moscato, Vermentino, Chardonnay, and the Malvasia Puntinata.
