The Numa Distillery was in fact born as a spin-off of the historic Agriturismo, whose origins can be traced back to the beginning of the last century, precisely in 1903, when Nicola Capitani served the customers of his restaurant an alcoholic decoction of herbs with refreshing and digestive properties, to which he gives the name of his daughter: Generosa.
The Generosa Liqueur, offered at the end of the meal, began to make its way into the tastes of local people and foreigners, becoming part of the tradition of the area and lost in legend, until Mario and Gianfranco Pusceddu, descendants of Generosa, decided to recall the memory in the mid-nineties: it was then that the two brothers, already active in the family farm, founded a liquor factory together, recreating, with modern techniques, the ancient flavors that arise from the mixture of herbs from the lands of the VALLE DEL MARTA, on those same lands cultivated by the ancient Etruscans.
